    I get 5 L of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum on sale at Cdn Tire for around $38 with tax. A good filter is about $10-$12, sometimes cheaper if I find a sale, and I have bulk crush washers. With the total cost around $50 for using a premium synthetic and filter, it's worth it to do it myself.
