Two that we have at work (326AI25) were most definitely designed as earth augers, same model number as mine, totally different handle set up... I'll try and take a pic of them tomorrow!!!

Another note, we have jiffy, Eskimo, strikemaster and huskys at work... guess which ones get sent to jobs with super thick ice??? we have a couple 4" mora flights used for ice profiling that have been punched close to 12' in the territories... they were buying new ones last year and I suggested tanaka or echo powerheads, $299 for an Eskimo won lol

ice has 1.2 HP 12 lbs
earth is 2.0 HP 19lbs and geared down I'm assuming.
The handles on the ice augers switched styles right before I bought mine 6-7 years ago. They went from the full wrap around to the upright singular ones I have.

Does your wrap around style have pockets for the long handles??? Maybe these were added after the fact, I'll take a closer look at that one tomorrow, it's slated to come across my bench soon anyway lol

Mine are the singular arms. They look like this http://www.wetaskiwinradiatorandsmallengine.com/ice-augers
Those were updated about 7-8 years ago from the wrap around ones, but both were different than the earth auger handles that look like this

Shitty pic, but this has spots for 3 1" square tubes to be used as handles... And apparently some electrical tape and zip ties added for bush strength... should be a fun project once it hits my bench!!!
